About the Role
Delta Sailing School is seeking a Basic Coastal Cruising Instructor to add to our team! The Basic Keelboat Instructor will teach our Basic Coastal Cruising classes, work with other instructors on ongoing training programs, and attend sailing club events as needed.
The Basic Coastal Cruising Instructor must be comfortable sailing on The Delta and enjoy sharing their love of sailing with others. The sailing conditions in California Delta are similar to the San Francisco Bay with a little less wind and less current. There is both deep water and shoals, and the temperature is about 20 degrees warmer than the SF Bay.
Requirements
Must have a United States Coast Guard license and ASA Basic Coastal Cruising Instructor certification to apply. To be considered, please include a copy of your resume and list all certifications you currently have.
About the Company
Delta Sailing School is an American Sailing Association (ASA) accredited sailing school in the beautiful California Delta just an hour south of Sacramento and an hour east of Marin. We offer Basic Keelboat through Advanced Coastal Cruising along with Coastal and Celestial Navigation classes. We also offer 3-5 hour introductory sailing lessons/day trips, a sailing club, and sailboat maintenance classes.
